RUSTIC ROMANCE From the Glam Barn to the Wonders of the Woods

If you’re into the outdoors and have an eclectic personal style, rustic weddings are defiantly for you. Rustic weddings have a range of styles that can by stylish, feminine and gorgeous without a doubt. From outdoors weddings in the majestic woods, to beautiful barn weddings with grand chandeliers, rustic weddings are really about your style, colors and personality. For brides who are truly into DIY, there are many fantastic details that are just for you.  My favorite, long butcher-block like oversized tables, and long family style dining is perfect for this style.

Clair + Leon | Married {MALIBU WEDDING}

RANCHO SOL DEL PACIFICO – June 10, 2012

Every once in a while, one is fortunate to experience moments in life that touch the heart and soul. For me, the wedding of Clair & Leon was just that.  Clair & Leon are both deeply connected to spirituality and to the Jewish faith and have a love to each other and all those surrounding them that you can almost touch.

Their magical spirit was felt by everyone whom attended their wedding without a doubt.  Each guest that was invited was somehow touched by Clair & Leon’s spark and had a deep connection to them. I feel lucky that I got to experience their special day. A special thanks to the fabulously talented duo Ron & Gabrielle Levy  of Ron Levy Photography who captured some of the most fabulous moments. They are both rock stars.

The wedding of Clair & Leon took place at the breathtaking  Rancho Sol Del Pacifico . The private estate in the hills of Malibu overlooking the ocean was turned into a wedding location extraordinaire for the day! A big thanks to my fab assistant Elle!

Vintage Fall Wedding {Nikki+Jeremy}

On October 1st Nikki & Jeremy exchanged their vows at Gardens of Paradise in Agua Dulce, CA their hometown where they both grew up and fell in love. When I first met the stunningly beautiful yet down to earth bride, I knew this would be a fun wedding because it was at the beginning of my favorite season (and yes, with my favorite color orange for those who don’t know yet), and a bride who knew exactly what she wanted. Love that.

Nikki who was always so appreciative and nice to work with had an even nicer family, a super involved fiance who’s father performed the ceremony and a soon to be mother-in-law and sister-in-law who were both crafty hands on at all times. How fab is that? It was a beautiful experience to see the whole family engaged in the wedding planning process. Thanks to David and Jodi Ross of R & R Photography for the outstanding craftsmanship.

The color pallet that Nikki selected were hues of orange, red, black, browns and golds that were incorporated throughout every detail of the wedding including invitations, shoe accents and of course flowers and centerpieces all created by the amazing Charmaine’s Flowers

Bride and Groom showed off their wild side with fun and colorful shoes, and fun nail polish to go with the theme of the wedding.

For guest seating, envelopes with guests names were hung on old window panes with wood laundry pins. Inside each envelope were Nikki & Jeremy’s favorite fall food recipes which were also the table names where the guests sat (caramel popcorn ball, pumpkin spice latte, apple pie, etc)

Additional vintage window frames were used to share the couple’s fun photos and engagement photos. An old desk was used for guests to sign a guest book and write well wishes for the bride and groom on old vintage postcards.

FABULOUS MOMENTS…. Nikki & Adee

A Modern Twist on Old Traditions {Rachie + Ellie}

When I first started working on Rachie & Ellie’s wedding in mid-April, I knew this wedding was going to be a truly unique and inspiring wedding. Not just because this was a modern Orthodox Jewish wedding taking place on a ranch or because of of the very short timeline I had to plan the wedding (the wedding was Aug 14), but because  my first meeting was with the father of the bride who hired me before I ever met the bride and groom and knew every small detail his daughter would love for her wedding. It was a first for me.

I’ve had the pleasure of coordinating many Jewish weddings. Orthodox Jewish weddings always take extra planning and attention to details as they have their own unique traditions and etiquettes which need to be followed closely by the direction of the family. This Orthodox wedding did have a modern flair to it because of the design elements and details that were incorporated into the wedding, which made it that much more unique. The bride and groom had a very hip style which made this wedding that much fun. Mixing modern ideas with old Jewish wedding traditions made this wedding truly inspiring to work on.

The bride had a passion for all things yellow and royal blue which we made sure were highlighted and accented throughout the wedding. This included the flowers, lemonade stand with blue and yellow vintage straws purchased on etsy.com and custom vintage signs made by Magic Wand Weddings. We also found the groom’s strong love for Western music and made sure this was incorporated into their wedding memories by the amazing  photography of John Solano. The fabulous floral design was by none other that Sonny Alexander Florists in Los Angeles. Corey who helped work on the concept incorporated the bride’s yellow and blue color concept into all the center pieces. Tables had different design elements throughout which made it so appealing to the eye.

Change of shoes were for sure the highlight of the wedding. From satin sandals to cowboy boots for both the bride and groom to my favorite bubblegum colored platform Converse All-Star shoes to give the petite bride some height and comfort.

Decor included amazing 8 and 10ft spheres by Shape Events
that were hung throughout the ballroom and illuminated in blue hughes and a 12ft sphere that overlooked the pond and illuminated the bride and groom’s name.

Be Inspired,

Adee

Peter & Gladys – {A Romantic Wine Country Wedding}

When I first met Peter & Gladys to discuss their wedding plans, one thing I knew for sure. It was going to be a truly romantic wedding. After visiting multiple venues in the Los Angeles area, we took a short road trip to Temecula and found the perfect place. Walking into Mount Palomar, you immediatly get the comfortable inviting old-world feel of the Tuscan villa.  Mount Palomar offered romance and elegance and was located on a hilltop giving guests a panoramic view of Temecula Valley. It was a perfect place for the perfect day. PHOTOGRAPHY: Signature Exposure

Make up and hair by  Gina Valerino.

Beautiful hues of light and dark pink flowers were selected with accents of cream and gold. Floral design by Myra of  Celebrate Flowers

Event Pros LA designed a tent which was draped with white chiffon fabric and large chandeliers hanging overheard and crystal candelabras as part of the centerpiece for a truly magnificent look.

Real Weddings by Event Pros LA {Shirley+Shanne}

Long weekend weddings always seem to have something extra special to them. Is it the fact that many  people who attend the wedding came from far? Is it the fact that those who attend the wedding didn’t go away for the weekend because they really wanted to take part of a special occasion? I don’t know, but I do know that on Sept. 5th I had the privilage to coordinate Shirley and Shanne’s wedding at Saddle Rock Ranch Chateau Le Dome. The wedding was very intimate and detailed, and oh the romance… Each and every guest felt it falling from the stars that night.  Mazal Tov to both of you and thank you for letting Event Pros LA be a part of your special day.

Back To Nature – Saddle Rock Ranch Outdoor Weddings

Always looking for fabulous wedding locations for wedding receptions and ceremonies, I have to say that one of Event Pros LA’s venues is Saddle Rock Ranch in Malibu. It has all the perfect elements that one could ask for. Beautiful views, the outdoors surrounding you, vinyards and animals roaming (camels, zebras, horses and more), and multiple locations for a bride and groom to choose from.

One of my clients rescently described to me what her dream outdoors wedding and outdoors reception would look like.  “A garden setting in nature with lush breathtaking views.” Right away I thought of Saddle Rock Ranch.  What I love most about this amazing outdoors wedding is the smaller site on the property, Chateau Le Dome which is located on a hilltop  in the middle of the vineyards. The Chateau is an octagonal stone house, set on a manicured lawn large enough for a ceremony and reception.From this vantage, there is a  panoramic view of the surrounding vineyards, hilltops and just overall an amazing view. The winding trail to the edge of the ceremony lawn  is entwined with grapevines and white roses. Makes you want to sell your house and move there forever!
