My Funny Valentine

pink weddings, hot pink weddings

Yes, I know. Many of us are jaded by the red and pink cut-out, heart shaped-everything holiday. In resent years someone tried to pass off  Valentine’s as the official  “Hallmark” holiday which almost worked. Yet, there are those who still have the love bug and February is a month filled with pink and red inspired ideas floating in their minds. I am one of those hopelessly romantics who loves love and am truly driven and inspired by it daily. February is not only a great time to get married, it opens amazing color palettes and design ideas for weddings. Get Inspired. Be Fabulous. Be In Love. Happy Valentine’s Day

Vintage Door Wedding Decor

Vintage doors are a fantastic way to add rustic charm and a vintage twist to your wedding. Using old doors is not only really simple, there are so many different uses too: backdrops for your wedding table and altar, used as table tops, as boards to add pictures to, or even use them as actual doors to enter your ceremony through.

Art Deco Glamour Wedding {Joe+Stacey}

The black and white wedding theme hummed along for years and some thought it would never go away.  Occasionally, it dipped  just below the radar but as every planner knows, it never really left us – and its coming back up in a big way -this time with a 40s era Art Deco inspired wedding.

 1940’s evoke images of black and white movies with their dashing actors and stylish, elegant leading ladies This decade left behind fashion icons – sharp suits and fedoras for men, beautiful dresses and sexy yet very classy accessories for women.  It was a romantic era and it’s no wonder that Joe and Stacey,  the most “in love” couple this side of the hemisphere  adopted the 1940’s theme when they planned their big day.

The groom and groomsmen  dressed in black with accented red tie and wide -brimmed fedora hats to complete the high-fashioned era-inspired wedding which really added personality to the wedding. The bride’s romantic lace gown and her bridesmaids black knee-length dresses with 40s inspired hairdos were just another sweet touch to the oh-so-romantic wedding.

The traditional Jewish Wedding ceremony took place under the Chuppah overlooking the ocean with a breath-taking view of the Pacific Ocean for all the guests to enjoy.

The band played the best of the 40’s-60’s music throughout the night. The first dance which flowed with the theme was  “The Best is Yet to Come” by Michael Buble.  Everyone walked away feeling the love that night.
